Will Demco Base Plates on 2001 Jeep Wrangler be Compatible with Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar

I have a Demco base plate on my 2001 Jeep Wrangler and I want to get a Blue Ox tow bar for my motor home will they work together

The existing Demco base plates on your 2001 Jeep Wrangler are compatible with the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 that you are looking at but it will depend on what particular model base plates you have as to whether or not you will need a separate adapter to connect the two components.

I spoke with my contact at Blue Ox and he said that based on the age of the Jeep you most likely have the Demco Classic Base Plate Kit # DM9518045. If this is the case then it is directly compatible with the Blue Ox Alpha and no adapter is needed.

If you happen to have the newer Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM9519045 from Demco then you will just need to add the Adapter # DM9523127 for your setup will work perfectly.

The model number for your base plates should be located on the crossmember, most likely with a sticker. If you have a different model number than the two options listed above please let me know and I will be happy to verify compatibility.
