Comparing Hollywood Sport Rider and Thule EasyFold XT Bike Racks for Electric Fat Tire Bikes

Question:

Im looking for a bike carrier to hold two ebikes 60lbs each and 4inch fat tires. I am comparing the Holywood HLY84FR and the Thule easy fold. Do they both accommodate 4tires? If I got the Thule, do I need to purchase two extra sets of the larger tire straps? That would add extra $ for the rack. Ouch!

For your electric bikes with 4 inch tires, the Thule EasyFold XT 2 Electric Bike Platform Rack # TH903202 will require the use of Fat Bike Straps for Thule EasyFold XT # TH985101 while the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR will not because this rack can accommodate tires that are up to 5 inches wide.

The difference between these two racks (and the reason for the price difference) are the quality-of-life features the EasyFold XT # TH903202 gives you; it is the most effortless bike rack on the market to use. It comes with an aluminum ramp so you can easily load your heavy electric bikes, which is especially convenient after you have been riding for a while and don't have quite the energy you did before riding.

This rack allows for simple access to your vehicle's rear cargo area via a foot lever that you can press to tilt the rack down, tightens in your hitch with the twist of a knob, and the padded clamps that help secure your bike to the rack uses knobs that audibly click when they are securely around your bike's frame. The aforementioned foot lever also allows you to completely fold the rack up, and it also has wheels and a handle so once you remove it from your vehicle it is simple to store.

The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR does have an 80 lb per bike capacity compared to the 65 lb capacity of the EasyFold XT, and like the EasyFold comes with locks to secure the rack to your vehicle and your bikes to the rack. This is also a quality bike rack that will more than do its job to safely and securely transport your electric fat tire bikes, it simply does not offer the plethora of convenience features the EasyFold XT does, though the same can be said about every other bike rack as well.

I have added links to video reviews of both bike racks for you to check out.
