Why Wont Air Lift Ride Control Fit on a 2017 GMC Canyon with Diesel Engine

Question:

Airlift website states the 59533 kit does not fit the Chevy/GMC Colorado/Canyon 2nd generation trucks with Diesel engines. Why is this? Is there a fit kit or other alternative to make it work?

I do have a solution for you, but when I spoke with my contact at Air Lift she said that the frame on your 2017 GMC Canyon with the diesel engine is slightly different. Because of this the Ride Control # AL59533 you referenced doesn't line up properly. They currently don't have an adapter but I do have an alternative solution for you.

The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-212-40 are a great option in place of any kind of air suspension enhancement. These are made of a durable microcellular urethane that adds resistance as more load is put on your Canyon. Since these don't use air or air lines there is no maintenance; you simply install them and then forget that they are there!

I have attached a review video of the SumoSprings so you can get a better idea of how they work.
