Limit Switch Wiring for an Atwood Water Heater EHP10

Question:

The Atwood Water Heater limit switch wiring recently fried while my travel nurse wife was completing an assignment in Columbia, MO. I am in Indiana and charged with the task of getting her hot water. A service technician has advised me that he has been unable to locate the wiring and related housing? needed to repair this older unit. As I am not there now, I am not sure what the Atwood part number is. I have been told that the model is a EHP10. I would prefer to repair the existing unit rather than replace it. Can you help? I will supply additional information as I am able. Thank you in advance.

I would love to help but the issue is that your Atwood Water Heater EHP10 is obsolete and has been for a very long time. I spoke to my contact at Atwood/Dometic and they informed me that there is no replacement wiring harness for the limit switch.

Therefore, your only option is going to be a full replacement and for that we have the Atwood RV Water Heater part # AT94186 which has a 10 gallon capacity just like you have now but is both gas and electric whereas yours I believe is only electric. It is currently the most cost effective gas and electric unit we offer.

I have attached a review video for you.
