Trailer Tire Size Close to 4.80-8 Tire Overall Diameter

Question:

I have a 4.80-8 trailer tire/wheel with approximately a 16 inch diameter and 4 on 4 bolt pattern. Could you help me determine a 12 inch and a 10inch tire/ wheel size that would be approximately the same 16 inch diameter. Thank you

The special trailer tire size 4.80-8 does have an overall diameter of right around 16-inches when the tire is mounted on the rim and inflated. The other popular trailer tire size that has about the same overall diameter is the 165/65-8 size, which is about 16-1/2-inches overall diameter. This metric tire size is also known as 16.5 x 6.5 - 8 and it is wider than the 4.80-8.

You can refer to the linked article on special trailer tires which indicates the overall diameter of the most popular sizes that we carry. All 10-inch and 12-inch tire sizes have a diameter much larger than the 4.80-8 and 165/65-8 sizes.

In the 165/65-8 size we do offer a 4-lug wheel/tire combination, the Kenda Bias Trailer Tire # AM3H200 which combines a white wheel with a Load Range C tire. This item has a weight capacity of 800-lbs at 70-psi pressure.
