Economic Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon

Looking for an economic way to add a bike rack to my 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon. I see there are different options but I'm not sure what the benefits would be vs the cost.

The most economic bike rack type that you can use on your 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon is a trunk mount bike rack. It doesn't require any extra equipment like a roof mount or hitch mount bike rack does and it can easily be stored in the rear hatch of your Outback Wagon.

Just like all other bike rack categories there are very economic trunk bike racks and others that are higher end with more features. I recommend going with the Yakima FullBack # Y02634 as it is a great bike rack that doesn't break the bank.

I like this bike rack because it installs on your rear hatch using 4 straps as opposed to 6 like other options and it features an interlocking HUB that makes it easy to adjust to your specific rear hatch. The SuperCush anti-sway cradles and ratcheting ZipStrip straps make securing your bikes easy and the adjustable arms allow you to leave the bike rack installed but out of the way when you don't have bikes loaded. It also has integrated locks for both the rack and the bikes.

I also recommend using the Yakima Adapter Bar # Y02531 for any bikes that don't have a horizontal top tube and then the Softride # SR54FR to keep your front wheel stable.
