How to Power AC Outlets and DC Lights with Shore Power on an ATC Enclosed Trailer

Question:

Hello I have a enclosed ATC trailer with the shore power option and 4 LED interior lights off the 12v 7 Pin connector. The trailer does not have a converter or a battery system. I do have an interior breaker box with breakers for interior outlets. I would like to add a converter so that the interior lights could be powered up from shore power. To also have a battery system is not a huge deal for fear of keeping yet another batter maintained over the years but maybe I am being short sided. Do you sell the items needed to make this happen? Thank you!

In order to run both AC outlets and DC lights off shore power in your ATC Enclosed Trailer you will actually need a AC/DC distribution panel, not a power converter. For this, I recommend using Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power AC/DC Distribution Panel part # PD4045KA.

The AC distribution panel is rated for 120 VAC at 30 amps with up to 7 branch circuits. The DC section has 12 branch fuse holders, two wired to accommodate 30 amp fuses, ten more with a maximum rating up to 20 amps each. It does not require a battery bank to be present but you can add one down the line should you choose to. The panel itself is lightweight at 5.7 lbs and has a very small footprint installing in a 10.75" wide x 7.25" tall cutout.
