Is the Camco Quick Hose Connect w/ Flow-Through Connection 20143 Safe for Drinking Water

Is this quick connect labeled NSF drinking water safe, if I leave my hoses connected will any chemicals: lead be present. I have purchased hoses with lead free fittings so I would like to keep all fittings lead free

The Camco Quick Hose Connect w/ Flow-Through Connection part # CAM20143 is not designed for potable water therefore, does not have an official NSF certificate. This fitting like most brass fittings will contain trace amounts of lead but whether or not this percentage is safe for a potable water supply is untested as this is not its intended purpose.
Therefore, I do not recommend using the Camco Quick Hose Connect for drinking water. Instead, I recommend using the Camco Quick Hose Connect part # CAM20103 which is constructed of plastic and although does not have an official NSF certificate, will not contain any lead.
