Will Konig Self-Tensioning Chains Fit 235/55/R20 Tires on a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder

Question:

Do these Class S chains work for a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum? Tire size 235/55/R20 The Nissan user manual says they do not recommend using chains with this tire size, yet the lower end model is okay at 235/65R18 assuming the wheel well is almost the same Without having to invest in Winter tires I would only need once a year or so, I would like to find a compatible pair of snow chains. Please advise, Thank You.

The Konig Self-Tensioning, Low-Pro Snow Tire Chains # TH04115255 that you referenced are a confirmed fit for the 235/55-20 size tires that you have on your 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. These feature D links in a diamond pattern for the best traction out there plus they are Class S Compatible which means they require less clearance than most tire chains. The internal clearance (distance between tire tread and wheel well) required for these is 10 mm which you will want to check and verify.

Typically when manufacturers state not to use tire chains with a specific tire size it is because there will be interference whether it is with the wheel well or components behind the wheel well. Please note that if any damage were to occur as a result of these chains it is very unlikely that it would be covered under warranty.

Attached is a sample installation video that you can reference.
