I had the chance to play around with the new Curt Echo, part # C51180, the other day and really like how easy it is to use. It plugs into the 7-way trailer connector at the rear of your 2018 Toyota Tundra and the trailer then plugs directly into it.

Once plugged in you connect it wirelessly via Bluetooth to your smartphone. The downloaded app is used as the in-cab controller and the Echo plugged into the trailer connector engages the brakes proportionally. It was easy to setup and straight forward to use.

Since you'll be using your phone with the Echo I recommend adding a phone mount as well. Part # RVS-CEL-M1 is a great option that fits most phones.
