I need to tow my 2005 Quad cab Ram 2500 full size pick up with Diesel motor from Wyoming to Los Angeles. What tow bar and base plate do I need? Blue OX 6500 lb or 10,000 lb

Based on my research it looks like your 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 quad cab diesel has a weight that exceeds 6,000 lbs, though you may be able to find the exact weight on the placard on your truck's door jamb, which often has information concerning weight.

Due to that I recommend the 10,000 lb rated Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar # BX7420 which fits fits Blue Ox base plates that have an arm span of 38" or less on center.
