Weight Distribution with Sway Control System Recommendation for Trailer with 1,500 lb Tongue Weight
Question:
I’m trying to determine which distribution system is best for us. We have a 32ft desert fox toy hauler 13500 GTW and a 1500 TW being towed with a ford excursion 7.3 with air bags...I’m looking for a straight line system either the 12000 or the 15000

If your tongue weight is 1,500 lbs you'll want the Strait Line system # RP66075 which has a tongue weight range of 1,000 to 1,700 lbs. Ideally you get your tongue weight to fall as close to the middle of the range of the system. The # RP66075 would work great for 1,500 lb of tongue weight. If you went with a system that had 1,500 lbs as the top of the range you'd be at the max and the system wouldn't be as effective. If you have a 2 inch hitch you'll then need the shank part # RP54998. Or for a 2-1/2 inch shank you'd want the part # RP54976.
Then for a hitch ball you'd want the part # BWHB94050.
