Actually the CTEK MULTI US 7002 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger # CTEK56353 has a way to accomplish what you are wanting to do without requiring you to permanently install the charge on the vehicle. It comes with a quick disconnect harness that you attach to the terminals of your battery which you can leave installed all the time so that when you want to charge the battery you just plug the charger in. This is a much better and easier solution than leaving the charger installed all the time.
