Solution for EAZ Powered Jack that Foot Plate Drops and Fuse Blows

Why does the foot plate keep ping and 30 Amp fuses keep blowing?

We don't carry the EAZ brand of powered a-frame jacks so it's a bit harder to speculate. But if the foot plate keeps dropping and the fuse keeps blowing it sounds like the jack has seen better days and is in need of being replaced.
My favorite powered jack to recommend is the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR as it has stops to shut off automatically before topping or bottoming out. Other jacks will allow you to go too far with the jack but in doing so you damage the threads of the screw.
It has a lifting capacity of 4,500 lbs which would be more than you'd need but will ensure that the jack will operate quickly and last a long time.
