Solution for Brake Controller Wiring Not Active on 1999 Ford E-450 Motorhome  

Question:

i bought a 3035-p controller harness as per advise but it does not work on my 1999 ford e450 chassis motorhome ??????????????? also the quick connect adapter under the dash has power but i dont have power to the 7way plug at the rear of the motorhome ..can you suggest what could be wrong thanks

Most likely you have a blown brake controller circuit fuse/relay under the hood of your motorhome if all of the brake controller wiring is not active under your dash. Is there a pin that has 12 volts when the brakes are applied? Your best option is probably going to be to hardwire the brake controller to your 7-way as trying to track down the wiring issue will be most likely pretty difficult. You'll need power for the controller like you already have, a brake signal for the red wire of the controller, ground for the white wire, and then connect the blue wire of the circuit back to the 5:00 pin of your 7-way and you'll be good.
