Troubleshooting No Running Lights Front or Rear on 2013 Jeep Wrangler

Question:

I installed fenders on my 2013 jeep wrangler and removed the stock front fenders lights. Before noticing the issue I also replaced the stereo professionally and he tried to help me find the issue with the lights. According to him he had checked all the wires and everything is reading a ground..but zero power front or back. Everything else works fine.. no blown fuse...he is suggesting the who fuse box is bad?!? I dont think thats the answer.. please help.

On your 2013 Jeep Wrangler the parking/running lights not working on your vehicle will not be a fuse box issue since we know other functions still work. I recommend first checking to make sure you have the daytime running lights turned on. Next check the M17 and M18 fuses in the Totally Integrated Power Module located under the hood of your Jeep. Use a circuit tester to determine if power is getting to either side of each fuse using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. You can use the probe in the tiny, exposed portion on the top of each side of the fuse with the fuse still installed. If you have power through each side, then you will need to trace the wire as there is most likely a short by probing every few feet through the insulation to check for power. You will need to do this on both the right and left side front to back and your circuit tester will be the solid ground connection. If you want to ensure you have a solid ground connection for testing, you can run a jump wire to the negative battery terminal for a consistent ground because it will be connected to the frame and the engine.

If you do not have power to either side of the fuse, then I recommend tracing the other side of the wire to the fuse box back to the battery using the same process. Replace wire with # 16-1-1 sold by the foot as needed.
