Should Bars/Arms on Weight Distribution System be Bent When They are Not Under Load

Question:

I have been using an equalizer hitch for roughly 11yrs on my travel trailer and recently noticed the bars laying on the ground are bent. Do they have a bend from the factory or are they worn out from metal on metal friction. BTW theyre 1000# tw and 10,000# gtw bars

Weight distribution systems, like other towing equipment, will wear down over time. If you have been using the same kit for 11 years then it is very likely that your bars are worn out. Typically you don't see the arms/bars bending unless they are under a load. If you let me know what system you have I can see if we have the correct replacement arms for you.
