Since you're not going to be carrying the bikes very far I recommend using a trunk mount rack. Trunk mount racks are great for short distances and lighter bikes because they're less expensive and they don't require anything additional like a hitch or roof rack.

If any of the bikes you're going to carry are women's or children's bikes, or just have an alternative frame where there is a good way to mount it on the rack's arms you can add an adapter bar like the Swagman # 64005. It installs between the seat post and handle bar stem and gives you a good way to carry the bikes level.
