Recommended Rear View Camera System Always On For Constant Monitoring While Driving

Question:

RVS-7707721 Can this camera system be set up to be an always-on replacement for a review mirror on my Class C RV Basically a straight out view without the back-up grid lines? Its a 2018 Gulf Stream Conquest, 32ft, and the standard mirror is basically worthless because you cant see out the far back window from the drivers seat. I already have a backup camera that came standard, but it only goes on when in reverse, and points straight down with the grid lines to help with backing up.

The Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Flush Mount Camera # RVS-7707721 can be connected to be always on as a rear view monitor option. Because you are looking to replace your rear view mirror, you may want to consider the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System - Mirror with Monitor - Flush Mount Backup Camera # RVS-772718. This option will be a smaller monitor, but it will also not take up additional space elsewhere. The 7 inch monitor system does come with a wiring harness so you can add additional cameras or a DVD player.

In either instance, the camera simply needs to gain it's power feed from your running light circuit instead of the reverse light circuit so it will be on when your running lights are on but can still be turned off. The grid lines can be removed so you have a constant feed that is a clear view of the road behind you. The camera will have 120 degree viewing angle and infrared night vision.
