Replacement 25-1/2 Inch Double Eye Leaf Springs for 3,500 Pound Trailer

Question:

I need replacement springs and u-bolts for this trailer, the springs that I have removed are 2inch wide 4 leaf that measure 25 1/2inch center to center. What springs do I need, I only see 25 1/8inch springs listed

For your 1988 International Trailer with a 3,500 pound axle the 4-Leaf 25-1/8 Inch Long Double-Eye Spring # e54SR you mentioned should work great. Trailer leaf springs will stretch a bit over time so the fact that your existing springs measure just a tad longer at 25-1/2 inches is actually completely normal. These springs also are designed for a 3,500 pound axle like what you have.

For a U-bolt kit that works perfectly with these springs you can use part # APUBR-1, The kit includes 4 U-bolts, 2 U-bolt plates, and 8 hex nuts. I have attached an installation video that you might also find helpful.

One thing I do recommend verifying is that you do in fact have double-eye leaf springs on your trailer. You mentioned in your question that your existing springs measure 2 inches wide, which isn't typically found on double-eye springs. The above-mentioned springs, along with all the other double-eye springs we have available, feature a 1-3/4 inch width.

If your spring has an "eye" on both ends then it is a double-eye spring and most likely has a 1-3/4 inch instead. Even if it does have a 2 inch width the above springs will still work great as all the other important factors match your existing set. If you look at your springs and only one end has an "eye" and the other end is arched and open (see attached picture) then you actually have slipper springs. If this is the case please let me know and I will be happy to make a different recommendation.
