Camper Tie-Downs for 2002 Ram with Truck Bed Camper of a Different Size

Question:

I have a 2002 ram and recently purchased a 2002 Apache warrior 6.0 for a mid size truck. I was wondering if these will work if the camper is raised off the rails of the truck?

The Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs - Bed Mount - Black Powder Coated Steel - Qty 4 # HSSF are not ideal if the camper won't be resting on them. The amount of torque if the camper is not resting on them may cause them to deform or the bed rail of your truck where they connect to have issues. If however the camper rests on the rails and is raised off the bed, that could be a different issue with all the weight on the rails. In that instance, the Brophy tie-downs will work well to secure at the side rails, but you will want to create a platform to fit the bed of your truck to support the weight of the camper.

For your application, a better choice is the Torklift Tie-Downs that attach to the frame of your 2002 Ram. If you let me know the model 1500, 2500, 3500 and the bed length I'd be happy to assist. Otherwise I've linked the page to your options that will give you that drop down of vehicle style to help.
