Rain Sensor Will Not Allow MaxxFan 4501K to Work Properly
Question:
I have preformed all the troubleshooting tips i can locate to get the fan running. The rain sensor is on. I have clean the sensor with alcohol and check the wiring and connectors and rain sensor is still holding it out. Is there a way to bypass the sensor or somthing else I need to check? It is a 4501k in a 2016 flaggstaff.

Yes, according to my contact at MaxxFan you can simply unplug the connector for the rain sensor from the circuit board in order to bypass it. They were not able to provide me with the location of the connector you will need to remove but if you trace the wires from the sensor to the circuit board that should tell you which one it is. If the fan works once the rain sensor is removed then you know that was the issue but if the fan still does not operate there is an issue with the circuit board and it would need to be repaired or replaced by a qualified service technician.
