Will Curt X5 5th-Wheel Base Rail Adapter Plate Work on Truck With Bed Mat

Question:

How would one use this rail adaptor with a bed mat? I dont see how to cut out the bed mat correctly to allow the rails to contact the bed directly, nor do i think its correct to put the rail adaptor directly on the bed mat. Do I have to remove the bed mat each time?

The bed mat in your truck is going to interfere with the installation of the Curt X5 5th-Wheel Base Rail Adapter Plate for EZr Double Lock Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # C16220.

As you can see by the cut out of the linked installation instructions I added, a bed mat will not allow the adapter plate to properly fit, as you noted, so you are going to have to remove the mat from your truck bed when you want to use Adapter Plate # C16220.
