The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
Since your dry tongue weight is 1,100 lbs and to stay under the weight capacity of your vehicle you'd be maxed out with 9,5000 lbs total trailer weight (dry being 8,500) that would indicate that most likely your tongue weight would be about 1,200 lb. So for an Equal-i-Zer kit that would work well for that you'd want the # EQ37140ET which has a tongue weight range of 1,000 lbs - 1,400 lbs. You'd also need a thin-walled socket to install the hitch ball that comes with it as part # ALL643216.
