Will Powerbuilt 1-7/8-Inch Thin-Wall Socket ALL643216 Fit 1-7/8-Inch Nut on Reese Hitch Ball

Question:

Will this socket work on the older reese hitch balls and equilzer hitch . I find the clearance between the ball nut and the casting pretty close... will the socket work as they want 450 ft lbs... so how do you get to that when the clearances are pretty tight ?
