Best Brake Controller for 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport With Factory Tow Package

The brake controller I strongly recommend for your 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport with the factory tow package is from Redarc, and you'll also need the wiring harness:
- Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR
- Plug-In Wiring Harness # RED87FR
I really like the Tow-Pro Elite because of its control knob which keeps a cumbersome unit out of your Range Rover's cab, and because it gives you more control over your trailer braking power than any other brake controller.
The control knob of the Tow-Pro Elite can be installed anywhere you like in your Range Rover, so you'll have more space and won't be bumping your knee against a unit that has to mount under the dash, which is a bane to the majority of brake controller users.
The other thing the Tow-Pro Elite does better than any other controller is give you control. It has two braking modes, the standard proportional control, which powers your trailer brakes with the same intensity as your vehicle brakes, or user-controlled mode, which allows you to apply the brakes with a pre-set amount of power your choosing. This can be really helpful in a number of situations, like going off-road or areas with longer descents because you can set your trailer braking to a higher intensity to keep the trailer from pushing your Range Rover.
