How to Use the Coiled Adapter 7-Way to 5-Flat Part # HM47025 with a Reverse Lockout Solenoid
Question:
I think I know what the problem is. I was reading the Kodiak disk brake manual and it explains that if you put the truck into reverse while backing uphill, even though the solenoid might prevent more fluid from getting pumped to the wheels, there is already some fluid trapped in the line that can prevent the trailer from backing up. Forcing it can damage the actuator. Would the manual reverse lockout kit DM5939 work on my actuator: Item # DM8750311

I assume you are referring to the reverse lockout solenoid wire and if that is the case then you would need to wire or check that the trailer side trailer connector has this wire on the far left pin which you can see in the attached photo of similar to the Hopkins Coiled Adapter 7-Way Flat Pin Blade to 5-Flat # HM47025. This pin should then match up with the reverse light circuit on your vehicle's 7-way.
