Snow Plow Recommendation for 2018 Ford F-150
Question:
will the hitch mount to the truck without modification to the trucks frame. whats your opinion on the stress on the truck with the plow 2.7 litre engine 4 wheel drive

Expert Reply:
If you are concerned at all about truck frame stress from a front hitch install I would recommend you go with a plow setup that does not use a front hitch and instead uses a set of frame brackets. For that the SnowBear Mount Kit part # SB397-132 would be the mount you'd want and then for a plow you'd want the SnowBear Winter Wolf Part # SB324-167 and you'd be set. On a totally different vehicle we once saw a front hitch break when using a snow plow so I'd rather recommend a setup that uses frame mounts.
