The Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret - 16,000 lbs # RP34FR is a great king pin replacement option to give you increased turning clearance and is excellent with a short bed truck. The king pin itself doesn't help with chucking, so that would be something you would look for the hitch head to assist with if using this king pin. It will not make the chucking any worse than the original king pin, but it also won't make it any better as that is not part of its design. If you want this turning clearance function as well as the ability to absorb road shock and chucking, then I recommend the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000 lbs # RP61422 which will utilize and air bag suspension system integrated into the king pin. I've attached a couple videos to further assist.
