Tire Chains for a Mercedes Unimog U400 with 365/85-20 Tires
Question:
Hi I have a Mercedes Unimog U400 with Michelin XZL 365-85-R20 tyres. I will be taking this vehicle to Northern Russia this winter where I will be driving on and off-road for about 3 months. I will be experiencing mud as well as snow and ice. Can you recommend a good snow chain that will best suite me. Many thanks

For your Mercedes Unimog U400 with 365/85-20 tires, I recommend using either the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains or the Pewag ASV Snow Tire Chains. The All Square chains have 7mm think square links whereas the ASV chains have 8mm think square links. The All Square chains will be better suited for mostly on road with some off road whereas the ASV chains will be better suited for mostly off road with some on road. The reason for this is that the ASV chains are not really made to be taken on and off the vehicle whereas the All Square chains are.
If you choose to go with the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains you will want to use part # PWE2271SC. If you choose to go with the Pewag ASV Snow Tire Chains then you would want to use part ASV05 which we currently do not offer so you would need to contact Pewag directly if this were the route you were to take.
