Can the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent Be Mounted on the Side of a Trailer

Hello ! Can you install this fan on a trailer wall as opposed to roof mount ? Thanks !

I spoke with my contact at Ventline and he informed me that this Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent # VP-543SP is only to be mounted on the roof of a trailer. The reason is because if it was mounted on the side it would most likely leak water.
