The best way to winterize a trailer is to store it in a climate controlled storage facility, but since those aren't always readily available we have the Camco RV Winter Readiness Kit # CAM36190. This includes a 5-gallon bucket, Ban Frost 2000 Anitfreeze Concentrate, Blow Out Plug and Hand Pump Kit help winterize your RV plumbing, as well as a Mini Dehumidifier, Odor Eliminating Bag, and Fridge Door Stay.

This kit also includes a step-by-step guide on how to winterize your trailer. essentially what you want to do is make sure that all of your water lines are clear. Empty your clean water and waste water tanks but be sure to clean out your waste tank as well. Then you can use a compressor to blow out your pipes and try to get as much water out of them as you can. Also be sure to blow out the P-traps for your sinks so that when it gets cold those don't crack.

If you are going to just put antifreeze in everything then I recommend using the Water Heater Bypass Kit # CAM35983 to avoid running the antifreeze through your water heater. After putting the antifreeze in your pipes be sure to empty your water heater to keep it from being damaged as well.

Aside from that the only other thing you really need to do is put a cover over the 1985 Layton Skyline and then jack up your trailer so that the pressure is off of your tires. Whether you take your tires off or leave them on you will also want to release some of the pressure to help keep them from stretching out.

If you let me know the length of your trailer I can recommend a trailer cover for you. For example, the Adco # 290-34843 is a great option for all climates due to the heavy duty Tyvek roof cover and the tire covers that come with it.

Attached are some review videos for you to reference as well.
