Can Aftermarket Mirrors Provide Additional Functions Not Present on OEM Mirrors
Question:
Have a 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500 and mirror has signal light and power mirror, can it be replaced by one with those features and heat. Didn’t know if the wire connector would be the same. Thanks

An aftermarket mirror can only have the functions that were factory installed on the OEM mirror. The wiring for supporting a heated mirror's power needs will not be present on a vehicle that did not have that heat feature when it left the factory and it cannot be retro-fitted. Any item with a heat function will typically draw substantially more power and requires separate power wiring from the factory.
