Comparing Weight and Functions of Hollywood Racks Trail Rider and Swagman XC Bike Rack

How much does the Hollywood HR200 weigh? How much does the actual rack weigh and how does that compare to the Swagman XC?

The Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2-Bike Rack # HR200 weighs about 35 lbs. The Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack # S64650 is lighter at about 26 lbs. The biggest difference between the two is the Swagman rack is rated for 2 bikes at 35 lbs each and the Hollywood Trail Rider is rated for two bikes up to 45 lbs each. The Swagman rack will offer slightly less bumper clearance and the maximum wheel base is 8-1/2 inches shorter than the Hollywood Racks option.

My recommendation between the two is the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z. I also recommend the hitch lock and cable to secure your rack and bikes # HRLHPTC.

What ratchet bar do I need to fit my new hold downs with key locks mines the older model with 1 1/8 the new one says 1 1/4

Will a womens bike adapter tube be needed to utilize this rack?

Yes, if your bike(s) have a step-through frame, an adapter bar like # UB01 will likely be needed for either of the above-mentioned platform-style carriers to provide a high enough attachment point for those ratcheting hooks.
