Recommended Solar Battery Charger Separate From Motorhome For Flat Tow Vehicle Battery Maintenance
Question:
I installed the battery charger on my 2016 Chevy Equinox and it is working great unless I have to deliver a gas unit motor home. I am told that charge lines are not put on the gas units. Is there anything I can install that will help keep battery charged when doing one of these units. I can not install the charge line on the coaches and the factory says they wont.

Since you are delivering motorhomes and don't have the ability to add a charge line to each of them for the best long term solution, I recommend the 2.5-Watt Solar Battery Charger # PTW2997 which can connect through a 12V accessory port like # RM-9332 in your Equinox.
You can alternatively hardwire the connection to your Equinox battery using the NOCO Accessories X-Connect Eyelet Terminal Connector - 1/4" Eyelets # 329-GC002 and the NOCO Accessories X-Connect Extension Cable - 10' Long # 329-GC004. I don't know if the OBDII connection # 329-GC012 will work with your fuse bypass or not as that would be the easy solution.
