Is There a Plug-In Brake Controller Adapter for a 2019 GMC Terrain

Question:

I looked at a 2019 Terrain and it now has a 7 pole trailer connector with the trailer package. Do you happen to know if they have the brake and battery connections running the length of the vehicle so I might be able to find a plug and play brake controller wiring kit? Thanks for any information,

There has not yet be sufficient testing on the 2019 GMC Terrain as of October 2018 therefore, I do not have any information on the brake controller wiring for this vehicle. However, if it has a factory installed 7-way then my best guess is that the brake output and 12 volt power wires will be ran under the dash. There more than likely won't be a plug-in adapter for you to use but the wires should already be ran. I can't confirm this but based on the 2018 GMC Terrain I would say there is a good chance of the above.

If you are concerned with splicing then I actually have a better option for you that is not going to require any modifications to the tow vehicle assuming the 7-way trailer connector has all of its functions and for that, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # TK94FR which install entirely on the trailer and can be paired to several other vehicles as well.
