Do Plastic Bed Liners Need to Remove to Install Fifth Wheel Rail Kits
Question:
Installing the fifth wheel rails in a truck with a plastic bed liner can I just cut out the slots where the bolts go through and then build them up with flat washers to support?

Expert Reply:
When installing a fifth wheel rail kit the rails need to touch the metal of the truck bed. You wouldn't be able to install the rail over a plastic drop-in style bed liner. If it's a spray-in liner though you can install the rail over that.
