Can Anything Else be Plugged in when Using Custer Wireless LEDTow Light # LIW-LDTL

Question:

I am interested in this product for my 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid. It states the sending unit plugs into the outlet at the back of the RV. So once that is done how do you plug in your power source for your braking system. Is there a splitter available or something else?

Expert Reply:

The 7-Way connector would be occupied by the transmitter for Custer Wireless LED Tow Light # LIW-LDTL. Any supplemental braking system you use that requires 12 volt power should get that power from the vehicle it is installed in and not from the RV. The reason is because if the vehicle gets disconnected from the RV the braking system will still have power allowing it to apply the vehicle brakes and avoid a runaway vehicle. If you can tell me the braking system you have I can look into how you would go about making everything work together.
