Will Trailer Brakes Pulse with Hazards On with Tekonsha Prodigy RF Brake Controller
Question:
I have a 2015 Subaru Outback, where the flat 4-wire plug is converted to a 7-pin connector, and am using a Tekonsha Prodigy RF wireless brake controller. Everything works perfectly fine, except when I turned on the hazard lights during a bad rain storm. That set the trailer brakes pulsating. I think I understand perfectly well how that came to happen, but my question is whether there is a way to prevent that from happening. Or is driving with hazard lights on just not feasible with this configuration?

I think you may have found the one downside to the RF brake controller. If you turn your hazards on the trailer brakes are going to pulse since the controller looks for the activation of the left and right blinker circuits to know when the brakes are applied on the vehicle. Normally the only time these two circuits are active is when the brakes are applied.
