Towing Capacity of 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 3.42 Axle Ratio

Have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 3.42 axle ratio. Looking to tow a 5th wheel but having trouble finding my towing capacity. Can you help?

I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. Under the towing section it lists quite a few possible capacities for the 1500 with the 3.42 axle ratio depending on a number of factors such as the engine size, cab size, bed length, and drivetrain. Depending on what your truck is equipped with you are looking at a towing capacity as low as 7,100 pounds to as high as 12,500 pounds depending on your particular model.

I highly recommend checking your copy of the owner's manual to find your specific capacity. You can also visit a local Chevy dealer with your VIN they should be able to tell you exactly what the truck is equipped with as well as its exact towing capacity.
