Recommended Bike Adapter Bar for Platform Style Bike Rack Frame Hooks
Question:
I need an adapter bar or something else that will allow me to transport my womens bike on my platform hitch mounted bike rack. My bike doesnt hang from the top, its secured from the base with a bar that slides down onto the crossbar, which dips too low on my bike for the holder to reach/secure it. I have the Curt C18085.

For your Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack # C18085, the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005 or the Hollywood Racks Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes # HRBA-PRO will still be the solution you are seeking. The adapter bar will create a top frame rail between the seat post and handlebars so it will allow that hook to secure your bike properly.
Some customers prefer to use a bike adapter like this even if the hook will fit a low bar because it gives a higher point of contact to help stabilize the bike.
