Troubleshooting Landing Gear System Not Raising Trailer Properly
Question:
Wouldnt the trailer go up un-evenly if one of the leg gears was bad? If neither leg moves would that indicate the gearbox is bad?

If the trailer is going up unevenly then that is indeed an indication that the gears of one leg are bad. It could also mean that the screw is bent on one of the legs, preventing it from raising with the other. If you have a dual motor landing gear system where each leg is powered by an individual motor than it could be a bad motor or connection on the leg in question.
If both legs are not moving when powered then the gearbox like you mentioned may be bad. If you can hear the motor running but nothing is happening this is the most likely cause. You might also check to make sure your battery is fully charged and the ground connection is secure. The Replacement Gearbox # LG-179015 that you were looking at is designed to work with most landing gear systems from Lippert, Stromberg Carlson, and Venture.
If you can tell me exactly what is going on with your system I will be happy to look into this further if the above troubleshooting tips don't resolve the issue.
