How far does the rail need to be from the edge of the bed on a 2006 F350 8ft bed

When mounting the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP30035 in your 2006 Ford F-350 with an 8 foot bed will need to be 32-1/2 inches from the rear edge of your truck bed to the edge of the base base rail as you can see by the accompanying cut out I added from the installation instructions.
