Question:
I would like to know what would be the best oil cooler for my 2012 Ram 2500 5.7L. I tow a horse trailer around 10,000 LB. when going up hills and through the mountains my oil temperature gets up to 230F. I would like to get this lowered as much as possible.

The best cooler for your 2012 Ram 2500 is the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler # D15902. Typically the best cooler to help keep your engine cool is a transmission cooler but since you are looking for an oil cooler the best for your application is a combined cooler like what I just mentioned..
To ensure a fit you simply need to make sure that you have enough room for the 17" wide x 12-1/2" tall x 3/4" deep cooler. This comes with multiple threads to fit a wide variety of vehicles (see attached photo).
The best location to mount a cooler is between the grills and AC condenser so that it gets the most air flow which results in faster cooling. I have attached some helpful articles that you can reference on mounting a cooler.
