Can InvisiBrake Monitoring System Use Existing Wire on 2014 Chevy Express 4500 Sunseeker

Question:

I am trying to install the Invisibrake monitoring system in my 2014 Chevy Express 4500 Sunseeker rv, The tow wiring harness was installed when I purchased the rv 7 way recepticle at the hitch so I would like to tap into the existing wiring rather than route a wire underneath the coach. How do I find and identify the correct wire to splice into? Thanks so much.

The monitoring system that comes with the InvisiBrake # RM-8700 is independent of all the other wiring meaning there won't be a dedicated wire for it on your Sunseeker. The wire has to be run manually. I know that isn't what you wanted to hear but the reasons are so that it cannot be affected by any other circuit and because there isn't a dedicated wire for it.

However, if the 7-Way on your Sunsseker does have the brake output circuit available (meaning you do not have a brake controller and don't plan on adding one) then you could potentially use it as long as you can find where it terminates in the cab of the vehicle. It should be tuck up somewhere near the emergency brake pedal. If that is present you can use it.
