Availability of Frame Mount Roof Bike Rack To Fit Larger Diameter Tube Bike Frame

My bike has a large frame. How large of a diameter tube can fit in the upright bike clamp?

I spoke with my contact at Swagman and they said that the Swagman Rooftop Bike Carrier, part # S64720, is not designed for a bike that has a larger diameter down tube. It is designed for the standard down tube sizes of 1 to 2 inches. I am including a link to the instructions on the Swagman bike rack.
If your down tube is larger than 2 inches you might want to look at the fork mount cradle roof bike rack like the Kuat Fork Mount Bike Rack, part # TR02. This roof bike rack will carry your bike by the front fork mount, so your front wheel would have to be removed.
