Replacement Extension Pin Box with Airbag for a Lippert 1116

I need to gain 5inch minimum in pin box length. What cushioned box do you recommend to replace a Lippert 1116?

I have the perfect option for you to replace the Lippert 1116 pin box on your trailer. It will provide you with additional clearance for your cab and an airbag to reduce shock. For this you are going to want to use the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret part # RP61412. Rotating pin boxes like the one listed above will allow for most 5th wheel trailers to be towed with a short bed truck. There really isn't a better option on the market.
In order to make sure you have the desired clearance you need, I have attached a formula below for you to use.
(A + B) - C = Clearance
A = Distance from center of 5th-wheel hitch jaw to truck cab in inches
B = Length of Sidewinder arm in inches (22")
C = Width of trailer in inches divided by 2
This pin box works best with a fixed 5th wheel hitch but can also be used with a sliding 5th wheel hitch so long as you lock it in the forward position. In order to make sure you don't have any issues while using this pin box you are also going to need to use a wedge. If you can tell me the make and model of your hitch then I would be happy to see if we have a custom fit wedge for you but if not you can use the universal wedge included with the pin box.
