Is Chevy Bowtie LED Lighted Trailer Hitch Cover Waterproof

Is this hitch cover waterproof? I tend to run my car through an automatic car wash quite a bit and was wondering if i needed to disconnect the hitch cover every time?

The Chevy Bowtie LED Lighted Trailer Hitch Cover # RP86530 referenced in your question features a corrosion resistant plastic construction but because it also connects to the 4-Way wiring connector on your truck I do recommend removing the cover before going in for a car wash.
This isn't necessarily related to the cover being waterproof or not but is more of a precaution that you will want to take with any electrical connection when there is going to be exposure to a lot of water. This is why we always recommend unplugging a boat trailer connector from the tow vehicle before backing into the water, regardless of how good of a seal you have with the wire connections.
