Expert Reply:
For a 1 inch diameter bolt with coarse threads the threads/inch is 8 and for fine thread the standard is 12 threads per inch but commonly it's 14 threads per inch that's seen. The # 989900 comes with hitch balls that have 1 inch diameter coarse thread designs which means they have 8 threads per inch.
