When towing do you put transmission in park?

If you are using a tow dolly like the Roadmaster # RM-2050-1 to pull your front-wheel drive vehicle then the transmission should be in park. This is so the vehicle cannot move around on the dolly and so the steering wheel will be locked.
Before proceeding I also recommend checking your copy of the vehicle's owners manual as it will list specific guidelines like this under the towing section. If you can tell me the year, make, and model of your vehicle I will also be happy to help with this and recommend any other parts that might be needed.
